Welcome

I am starting a new blog. I assume that many people will not read it. In fact, I assume not many people will read it. But, I am really and truly fed up with what I see going on around me everyday. I have been wanting to be more active about informing the masses about all the things I see that no one is talking about. There are so, so many things, that I tend to stutter a bit. I am not a professional writer. I tend to go on at length, when others could be more succinct. I'm chatty. I'm opinionated. And, unlike almost all of the bloggers that I read, I am not a democrat. Some people will read what I have to say, and think I am heartless. Some will think I'm jaded, or ignorant. I assure you, I am not... well, maybe I'm jaded.

The list of things that I'm fed up with is long, and it ranges from victims, to the media, from the intolerant, to the government. Some of these posts will be on topics that are globally or nationally important. Some will be of a more local matter. And some will just be personal rants about people in my life directly.

There are some things you should know, before you comment. I love to debate. If you disagree with what I've said, please tell me, but come bringing facts, or perspective. I will not respond to comments that simply say "I disagree." I will not tolerate anyone coming to my page and leaving comments that threaten or harass me. Those will be deleted. Repeat offenders will be blocked. I do not have a Twitter account, nor a Facebook or Google+ page. I have never been, nor do I currently have any intention of being in attendance at any blogger conventions. Finally, I am not particularly computer savvy, so the design of my blog and the format of my comments are the free pre-set designs from Blogger.com - I am not ashamed of this, however, if you would like to gift me with a better design, thank you.

Now, I feel I should give you a little bit of background into who I am. I am a mother of two boys. I am not married, but I am in love with, and living with their father. The family I grew up a part of was a good one. My mother died when I was twenty, my father has re-married and is currently doing his best to care for his aged father. My older brother is my boyfriend's best friend, and is, in my opinion, AWESOME! My younger brother is (hopefully) graduating high-school this year and has had a tough life, but he remains positive, and forward looking. I'm of Irish descent, my children are Irish-Italian. We are natural born citizens of the United States of America. We are middle-class. We are atheists, and we encourage our children to think for themselves, even on matters of religion.

I'm sure more personal facts will become available through my rants. I may come back and edit this or any other post in my blog - edits will be post-scripted.
